32 weeks down...

...8 to go!

past Easter memories back home usually involved a Bread Bunny my mom would make. it's made out of bread dough, in the shape of a bunny. when it's done baking, you take out its stomach, line it with lettuce and fill it with vegetable dip! there's supposed to be room around the bunny on the platter for a nice arrangement of vegetables...

i made a bread bunny for the first time this year! mine turned out a little bigger than my moms usually did... i let the dough bunny rise to size then popped it in the oven. i didn't know that it would rise MORE while it was cooking. when it came out, i called james over to look at it and he started laughing! i made it on the largest cookie sheet i had, and there was NO room for vegetables! so we put them on a separate plate.

this year we spent Easter afternoon at a family's house from church and introduced the bunny; their kids loved it :-)

4D @ 30 1/2 weeks!

so i've ReAlLy wanted a 4D ultrasound but didn't want to fork over the $75 for it! well, a couple of weeks ago a girl from the imaging department at work asked when i was due because she'd love to give me a 4d ultrasound! she said the best time would be between 28-32 weeks. so this past sunday i hit 30 weeks and got one done on wednesday!

baby lord was turned towards me with his head tucked up under my rib, so it took a while to get a couple of good pictures. i loved just watching him & i saw that he has hair already! we couldn't tell how much, but it's there :-) i also saw his 2 kidneys, stomach, brain, & his heart and its 4 chambers, ad his aorta. it was the best ultrasound i've ever seen! he already looks so precious with his cute little baby cheeks. i can't tell yet if he looks like james or myself more. all i know is i can't stop looking at his adorable face :-)

crab orchard lake @ 30 weeks :-)

saturday james & i went to the lake before i had to be at work. we ate a LATE breakfast and just enjoyed being outside. i can't wait for it to get even nicer outside! we're both tired of feeling cooped up for the winter. i'm also 30 weeks pregnant now! some people at work are just now noticing that i'm pregnant! i guess it's harder to detect when they only see me in scrubs everyday. it's hard to believe how much time has gone by already :-)

thankful

when james and i got married, we decided to keep a blessing book. we record blessings in it so we won’t forget how God’s blessed us since we’ve been married. -or when we think nothing’s going right, it’s refreshing to go back and read. here’s a list of blessings we’ve seen lately:

• a dear friend of ours had open heart surgery yesterday to remove a tumor & everything went well. she is in recovery. and to top it off she is only 22 years old and has had a great spirit about the whole thing, trusting God.
• one of my sister’s got accepted to the 4yr university of her choice!
• my husband has a couple job possibilities that would make it easier to provide for when the baby comes in 10 1/2 weeks.
• so far our baby appears to be healthy and growing as he should.
• last night we went to a neighbor’s house to watch LOST and they gave us a bottle of bug/spider killer and keeper-outer. we have trees behind where we live, so needless to say, we were thrilled:-)

daisies

last night my husband came home with a beautiful bouquet of daisies for me :-)
